Help Nancy during Recovery from Stroke

Hi, my name is Christine Bailey and I am fundraising to help my mom. She has had many health issues and battled cancer and is currently in remission , since her cancer she has suffered from severe painful recurring bowel obstructions caused by scar tissue from radiation treatments, and has had many long hospital stays with horrible nausea, pain and vomiting. She had a double knee replacement , which was initially successful for a couple of years, but she recently got a rare bacterial infection that attacks hardware in the body, the infection got into her blood stream, had to have surgery and i.v. antibiotics she was in the hospital and then rehab for a long time , it is a very tough and long recovery, she worked very hard with her physical therapist and went back to work, it was much too soon and was not ready , but she felt she had to go back and she was so afraid of not being able to work , for those of you who know my mom, she is a very hard worker and the thought of not being able to financially take care of herself is too much for her to bare. She returned too work and pushed herself so hard when her body was not ready and after three days while trying to get ready for her shift as a Nursing assistant she had a severe stroke, Luckily her friend found her in time and she called 911, she was five minutes away from death. Thank God she survived, but she is having neurological problems and weakness on her left side. She has made so much progress this past few weeks with the physical therapy team from Spaulding(they are amazing), but she has a long recovery ahead of her, she hasn't even fully recovered from surgery from her leg infection. This was a very bad set back for her, her congestive heart failure and A Fib is really making it much much harder to rebuild her strength and endurance but she has been through so much and is a fighter and one of the strongest humans being I have ever met. Her Family Medical Leave pay has run out and my family and I would be so grateful for any donation so that she can keep a roof over her head and not have to worry and focus on her recovery. She has always helped the people that she loves and as a nurses aid, she is there for her patients. She has always taken care of herself and never has ever asked for help, Now I want to be there to help her , this is the hardest thing she has gone through, and I just want to make it a little bit easier and less scary for her just as she has helped me get through the hard times in my life.
