On May 1, 2023, Nancy Baker Jones, President of the Texas State Historical Association, was named in a lawsuit individually and in her capacity as president of the Board of Directors. While the Association has Directors & Officers insurance which should cover her expenses at some point, those funds are not yet available and may not cover all her costs. All funds contributed here will go directly to Nancy's legal bills. Any funds she does not need will be returned to donors once the suit is settled.
