Hurricane Ian took everything from Nancy and Joe
Donation protected
Randy’s sister Nancy and her Fiancé Joe owned a home in Gasparilla Estates in Placida Florida since 2009. On September 28th Hurricane Ian took everything in 1 nasty night. Nancy and joe are safe, they we’re able to evacuate but they are now homeless and devastated. Randy quickly, without a reservation took everything he could think of and drove to Florida to help his sister begin to salvage what pieces of there lives they could. They have been working day in and day out in the sweltering heat since Randy arrived on Sunday, tearing away at the twisted and torn metal and wood that was once home. Nancy works full time , Joe is Ill and unable to work due to a complicated cardiac issues and a history of several strokes, we are concerned for his health through this ordeal. They had just about finished fixing up there home and sadly we’re not able to Insure it. They’ve lost everything! They lost there second car that Joe used to get to his doctor appointment every week for required weekly injections and now are trying to scramble to figure out how that's going to happen and if Nancy will still be able to work. Joe has huge medical needs and bills costing over half his monthly income. They fear they may need to file bankruptcy due to this catastrophic event. They are trying desperately to figure out what to do and where to go.
Nancy is s a very determined, strong and independent woman who never asks for help, and now is the time to help. If you’ve ever wanted to do something good for those effected by these awful events, please think about helping Nancy and Joe. If anyone has any leads on affordable housing options, 1 level , 1 bedroom either in Florida or Vermont they are begging for help. Any funds collected will go directly to Nancy and Joe to help pay for housing and any other costs incurred.
