Nancamp in honor of Fraffie Welch
Tax deductible
Please help us raise $2,500 for Nancamp in Fraffie Welch’s honor.
It was recently brought to our attention that Fraffie, a 01945 force and institution, not only did things her own way - but did them selflessly.
Some twenty years ago, Fraff started a second Rotary club in town. There probably aren’t a handful of towns our size in the world with TWO clubs. Regardless, I’ve been a proud member of Fraff’s for 3 years. What I didn’t know was that she anonymously underwrote a big chunk of the cost of the club’s operations.
My kinda person!! Stubborn, fierce and loud for her cause, and anonymously big-hearted!!
One thing she did was buy ads in our Rotary’s clubs annual Holiday Pops concert brochure (btw - tickets are about to go on sale if they aren't already for this year’s performance!!) – under the name of local charities, including Nancamp, which has long been a personal favorite: a summer camp for children affected by cancer.
Here’s the camp’s website:

If you’d like to donate directly, and we encourage you to do so, here’s how [note: Nancamp is one of several philanthropic and charitable organizations supported by Essex County Community Foundation Funds, a 503(c)]:

Sue & I are no longer in a position to step into Fraffie’s shoes, but we made a small donation to the Rotary club to help them continue providing college tuition assistance for 01945 high school graduates, stock the food pantry, etc. – and we’re seeding this effort to raise $2,500 directly for Nancamp: the amount Fraff donated to her beloved Rotary club in the camp’s honor for the past several years.
Please help us raise $2,500 directly for Nancamp in Old Crow’s honor. Thank you. ;-)
