Esther went to the hospital for a gallbladder removal on October 25th due to the consistent pain she endured. She was so excited to get the surgery over with due to not being able to eat because of her pain. She promised, when she got out and doing better she was going to make home made tortillas, green chili rice and beans. She was so hungry for good food because all she could eat was solid foods. During her surgery, unfortunately the Doctors had to stop the procedure due to them finding liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. She only had 5% of her liver on one side, a huge mass of cancer on her left that closed up her bio duct therefore, she was unable to use the restroom and it was causing infection throughout her body. They recommend doing a minor surgery to open up one side to drain the infection but at the time when they we’re getting ready to take her to surgery her blood pressure was way to low and surgery was to risky, she could have passed during surgery. The Doctor explained to our family that there was nothing more they could do for her at this point and no treatment would help solve the problem. We as a family came together and still had hope and faith that she would fight to stay with us because she was a child of God. We put all our faith and everything in God’s hands and prayed for a miracle. As time passed things got more complicated for her and because she was allergic to every medication available to her she suffered a very, very painful death, the only medication that she was able to take was toroidal and tremidol which didn’t help out at the stage she was in.... We were all so confused as to why she had any of these problems due to the fact that she never drank, smoked or had hepatitis. With all that being said, this was the least thing we expected and with the holidays approaching we were planning our holidays. We are all so heartbroken, Devastated and overwhelmed with everything that needs to take place. We are not asking for much but every penny helps and whatever it may be will be greatly appreciated! If you all knew her, you would have loved her.
