UPDATE 2/28/25: Just a small update but firstly thank you to everyone who has shared and/or donated to this. I appreciate everyone's help thus far. As for Nanaki he is doing well! Still on meds but hasn't acted weird and he's been his normal loving self from before all this happened. I will leave this up should anyone still wish to assist but even this amount so far has been a huge help. Thank you all again!

For those unaware this is my baby boy Nanaki. On Thursday, Feb. 20, I arrived home from work and noticed him acting unusual. Where he would normally go frantic for food and be very vocal he was hiding and was very lethargic. Worried, I took him to an ER to get him checked out. The results were worrisome as the doctor said his kidney levels were extremely high and there appeared to be an obstruction in his kidneys via ultrasound. Overwhelmed with all the options and less than optimistic conversations I decided to take him home for the night to get a second opinion the next day. The next morning I went to a different hospital and they proposed to hospitalize him for a few days to begin IV fluid treatment and observe the obstruction. I said goodbye and waited for any update. After 2 days he was finally responding well to the treatment and after 3 days of hospitalization I was able to pick him up. The obstruction had moved on so the doctors deemed it to be a kidney stone. After a grueling weekend he's home and acting as normal as he should.

That being said this was all unexpected and has left me a bit staggered as after both vet trips, hospitalization, medicine, and new diet the total amount came close to about $5k. I decided to make this GoFundMe to assist in paying this off and appreciate any help in doing so. I do not like being openly vulnerable nor like asking for assistance but unfortunately these situations never show up at a good time. I've attached all receipts for transparency.
