Wanna see a movie - think Half Baked meets Tommy Boy - about a Black ex-con botanist who launches a cannabis brand to help save the Nanas and PopPops of the Pleasant Horizons retirement home from greedy, colonizing corporate raiders hell bent on gentrifying the neighborhood??

Of course you do, and we wrote it for you!

Nanabis (the movie) is a comedic/satirical film that highlights the inequities of the War on Drugs (the injustice, not the band) in communities of color, the battle for Black equity in the legal cannabis market, and the American stew of capital infrastructure and political influence that imprisons the independent growers and creators while expanding this lucrative market for the (primarily) White, wealthy and connected... sounds funny, right?

But this is not hyperbole, this is American history... and we want YOU to join us in Nanabis (the movement).

Every dollar you donate helps us protect the integrity, equity, and creative control of our project.

Your contribution allows us to pay the professionals who make this movie, to pay for the cost of producing the threads, the schwag, and the perks of joining our Nanabis team, and to build marketing infrastructure to push the social issues in our film out to the largest possible audience.

This on-going raise will coincide with our continued growth in partnering with Black-owned cannabis businesses we meet and highlight along the way.  You will have multiple opportunities during our pre-production phase to meet, support, and purchase from small businesses that are crucial to the American landscape. THIS is how we continue restorative justice and reparations in our communities, by frequenting and partnering with the very businesses who have incurred barriers to success for as long as America has been a country (and before then).
