Namvet's service dog needs surgery
Donation protected
Hi, Clyde here.
I'm a U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran on a disability pension.
Our Service Dog, 'Kila (it's awkward to yell Tequila in the park) needs a TPLO procedure. (That's ACL repair in dog language).
Tomorrow we are visiting the surgeon for her right knee, they say the left will soon require it too.
'Kila will be three years old in April, she has changed my life-I can now sleep at night knowing 'Kila is watching the perimeter.

Thank you.

reference 'Kila (we don't call out "tequila" in public parks--that'd be awkward):
Her incision is healed. We sent a photo of the incision to the Vet, it's good. No more wearing the cone.
Her activities must be limited for another six weeks, while five minutes walking is recommended, she wants more.
We still use a sling under her hindquarters to prevent her lunging after squirrels and friends.
Kila is learning to walk again, it seems the knee operates differently now. Not exactly a limp, but a different bend of the knee.
May God Bless,
PaPa Clyde
