My name is Dr. Laurenie Louissaint. I’m currently a Sports Medicine and Interventional spine fellow in the department of rehabilitation and human performance at Mount Sinai hospital in New York. I have been blessed with another opportunity to return to Windhoek, Namibia for another impactful missing trip on 3/10/24-3/17/24. Last year, our pain management team saw an average of 150 patients per day, performed 52 fluoroscopic guided injections and 577 peripheral joint injections over the course of 7 days.

In addition to our previous mission goals, we will also be focusing on building sustainable connections to further the education of the Namibian medical providers and address some of the other sources of physical disability in Namibia.
