Hello all!
My name is Mitch, and I want to thank you for taking the time to read about my upcoming fundraiser and mission trip!
I am incredibly excited to share with you that I have been given the opportunity to travel to Namibia on a mission trip with Fleetwood International Church! The purpose of this short-term mission trip is to encourage our partners who do front-line work in remote villages, share the love of Jesus with unreached people groups, and help strengthen the ministry of the local church.
In 2023, Fleetwood International Church (FIC) partnered with the Church of Opuwo in northern Namibia and sent a team to support the church's ministry in reaching the unreached. Through a connection with a trusted local missionary, FIC was able to supply vehicles, resources, and volunteers to join in on the ministry to reach the remote villages in northern Namibia and share the love of Christ with unreached people groups.
Over the last couple of years, God has blessed me with many opportunities to serve on short-term mission trips and witness His love and His heart in places across the world. My last two mission trips in Turkey & Georgia have played instrumental roles in my faith & have shown me the importance of stepping into obedience when He calls us. I am so excited to travel with a team whose hearts are postured towards supporting, caring, creating life-long relationships, and displaying God's love to the people of Namibia.
Travelling to Namibia is a step of obedience and faith that I truly believe God is calling me into, and I am lovingly asking you to be apart of this journey with me :)
This trip will cost around $3500, and all funds will be going towards accommodation and travel costs. I am humbly asking you to consider donating any amount that's on your heart. More importantly, I ask that you pray for my FIC team and I, as we continue to fundraise & posture our hearts as we prepare the very best care.
Donations can be made in the following ways:
- Cheques: Please make cheques payable to “Fleetwood International Church”. Include a separate note indicating that the donation is designated for the “Namibia Mission” and specify the team member you are supporting.
- Cash: Please include a separate note with your name, address, and the designation as mentioned above.
- Online: Please visit fichurch.org/give and select “Missions” for your donation designation (online gifts will go towards the general team and not to specific members).
- E-transfer: You can e-transfer me personally!
*Please note: GoFundMe do not offer tax receipts for gifts/donations, so if you would like to receive one, consider giving through Cheque or Online. Or please reach out to me to discuss other options you feel more comfortable with.
