Namboboto Girls' School, Busia

Hello Everyone!
This past week, I've had the honor to get to know and work with some amazing women and girls at the Namboboto School in Busia County, Kenya. These girls have access to free primary education (kindergarten through eighth grade), but many families struggle to actually send their children to school faced with fees for school supplies and uniforms—students even have to pay for their own desks and chairs.
Around 400 young women attend this school, and Fountain Youth Initiative, a non-profit organization based outside of Nairobi in Githurai, has been able to support around 50 of these students with books, pens, pencils, uniforms and more. Each girl pays around 3000 Kenyan shillings (30 USD) yearly for these supplies, and Fountain Youth has been able to support as many women as they can.
With your help, we could help around 250 girls to stay in school, complete primary education, and ensure a brighter future! These young women are truly incredible; I have met many of them and they are bright, passionate and excited to learn. Help them achieve their goals, keep them in school, and foster the next generation of strong, educated Kenyan women!
