Our dad has always been a man of very few words, but to know him is to know that he is a supportive father, loving grandfather, commited husband & avid fisherman. He was a hard working man & was the sole provider for his family of 7! He was the life of the party, the Hennessy King & karaoke pro!
After recently suffering a stroke, it was discovered our dad was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which has metastasized to his brain. Unfortunately, after a long stay in the hospital, & rapid decline of health, he is currently living the rest of his days at home with hospice care.
We are writing to ask for your help in assisting our family in making our dad's final days more comfortable at home.
The donated funds will also be used towards the impending services and funeral costs. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated, as we understand not everyone is able to donate, but we are also welcoming wishes of support and to share any fond memories or stories that you have with our dad.
We thank you all for your love & support & could not be more grateful during this time.
With Love,
The Doan Family
** UPDATE **
First & foremost, we want to thank every single one of you for the outpouring of love, kindness & support in such a short amount of time. From the condolences to the donations, flowers, food & home visits, we are eternally grateful.
We would like to share that our dad has taken his last breath on May 14th, 2023 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his beloved wife, children & grandchildren.
Service & funeral date & time will soon follow. The contributions made towards our father's memorial will allow us to honor his life in a meaningful way.
Again, we appreciate every single one of you for being here for us during this difficult time.
With so much love & gratitude,
The Doan Family
