Help Nala fight kidney disease❤️
Donation protected
My name is Jess and i work at a vet clinic in Sydney. Nala and her parents have been seeing us regularly for roughly a year. She has had multiple visits, frequently in and out of the vets for lots of problems, mainly a TPLO surgery and most recently she has been diagnosed with Kidney failure. Her pet insurance has maxed out and they have been having to pay all her vet bills upfront, which has become more and more expensive as Nala has been in and out of our hospital and the emergency vet almost every day for treatments and testing. It’s all been a lot for Nala’s parents to take in. It’s heartbreaking to see your baby suffer. Her parents are the most amazing people ever, and despite all this scary new information have remained as kindhearted as when i first met them and have always put Nala’s health and well-being first without any question. We would really like to try and raise some funds for her bills as it’s all getting so expensive. please keep Nala in your thoughts and prayers in this hard time ❤️
Words from her parents ;
Hey guys,
In February during routine bloods for general anaesthesic as she had tore her ligament in her leg, the vets noticed there was something wrong with her kidneys. Nala has continued to deteriorate and we are now in a Sydney specialist hospital where Nala has been for the last 5 days.
On Sunday we got told that if we took nala home she would likely live about 3 days and we thought all hope was gone and was truly heartbroken we then saw a specialist on Monday who has said we have a fighting chance by getting Nala a biopsy which has to be sent to the states! We went ahead thinking we was covered by our insurance to find out we had maxed our yearly limit in 7 months.
This means we are having to pay at least $5500 on top of two maxed credit cards totalling $8000 for nala from her leg surgery. This was not covered due to being inside the waiting period, and this doesn’t even include post op care when they determine what the cause of the problem is!
Nala is just 3.5 years old with her whole life ahead of her, she is young fit and has the most loving personality.
We are reaching out to see if there is any way to take a bit of the pressure off at this extremely stressful time.
Thank you so much. i’ll add some more adorable pictures of precious Nala
