Our beloved pit mix, Nala, was hit by a car Saturday, August 9th along with our neighbor. It was a hit an run. The police are involved.

Nala was not only hit by the car, she rolled under it. Sustaining multiple injuries including terrible road rash, cuts and a broken elbow. The person who hit her left, without remorse.

Nala received wonderful, emergency care Saturday night and was released hours later. We followed up for extended care with our vet who let us know she has a long recovery ahead of her.

She is on bed rest. Nala is on 4 different medications. She has a prescription antiseptic cleaning solution we need to use on her wounds and she will require follow-up care (including more xrays) in the coming weeks.

We love Nala. She's an important member of the family. We're happy to have her home and on the mend.
