Hi everyone,

My name is Rachel and my family and I are the proud owners of Nala, a chihuahua terrier mix. We have had Nala since she was 8 weeks old. She plays a big part in our family and as most of you that know Nala, she is such a happy and energetic dog. She loves playing with kids and is the friendliest dog we know! We can’t picture life without her. She has been there with us through the good and the bad.

Unfortunately, Nala has been diagnosed with Canine Intervertebral Disc Disease and it’s causing her discs in her upper spine to rupture not allowing her to stand upright on her two front legs. Overall, she still has her silly, energetic personality but it’s her spine that is keeping her from walking and allowing her to enjoy again. While we are carrying her, she still insists that she is able to walk on her own, but it just isn’t possible. It’s as if she doesn’t even think that something is wrong with her. Overtime if not treated, it will cause her to be paralyzed.

We honestly don’t know what we would do without Nala and if we can’t at least give her the quality of life she deserves, we wouldn’t feel right in the heart. On behalf of Nala and our family, we hope to save as much money as we can for this surgery. The donations we ask are to cover the MRI and the spinal surgery. We don’t normally ask for help, but I would give up anything for Nala to be able to walk and enjoy life again. It has been really hard to watch her struggle with her health, but we believe with your help, we would be able to save our baby’s life.  Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated.
