Nakicha and Isiah Relief for Bristol Station Fire

It has been a surreal month for Isiah and Nakicha Barr. They recently got married on July 2, 2021 and loss everything in a fire that took place just 3 weeks later. Still in awe of the love and happiness from their wedding earlier in the month, their world came crashing as they watched everything they owned went up in flames. On the afternoon of July 23, 2021, a massive fire broke out in building four of the Bristol Station apartment complex in Carteret, NJ. All 48 units were completely destroyed and 75 residents living there were displaced. Thankfully no one was severely injured from the accident. Isiah and Nakicha are grateful to be alive today.

Isiah and Nakicha are both young attorneys. They graduated from law school at the end of 2019 and passed the bar together the following year. Any friend of the couple knows their giving spirits, warm personalities, and they're always ready to help anyone in need. They love each other very much and though this fire has set them back on their life's journey, they remain commitment towards moving forward in the next steps of their lives together.

Organizations such as the Red Cross and Borough of Carteret have been amazing in providing temporary shelter and services to many of the displaced families throughout this situation. They also appreciate the love and support they are receiving from family and friends in this difficult time.
