Help Osama's family evacuate Gaza

Dear good friends and supporters,

My name is Osama Al-Kayyali, and I am a bachelor’s student in the Faculty of Technology and Applied Sciences in the fourth year at Al-Quds Open University. I was on my way to reach my goals and live my dreams, but the war destroyed everything I was working on.

I dreamed of being a computer engineer and a clothing store owner, regardless of all the difficult circumstances we face in Gaza due to the unjust siege; I worked hard all my life until I was able to achieve my first dream and create my own family store.

Since last October, my life has changed like never before. Instead of thinking about my dreams and goals, all I think about now is how to save and provide for my family, who face unimaginable hardships every second. Our suffering is something that words cannot describe; How can I describe the grief that overwhelmed us after losing our home and our family shop, the terror we felt every time we had to flee to another home, the fear of hunger, diseases, not to mention the agonizing psychological distress that made our lives feel hopeless. Danger exists every second and everywhere.

We were displaced from our home on the fifth day of the war. The area of the house was classified as a dangerous area, and the occupation forced us to evacuate it. After that, we had to vacate our place more than five times, and each time, we were given another chance at life. Every time, we lost part of our dreams of returning, and part of our memories. Due to sudden evacuation decisions, we also lost part of our personal belongings until we no longer had anything but our souls. However, we move from one place to another, and each time, we hope that the displacement will be the last.

Our residential square was bombed and the neighborhood in which we live (the Palestine Mosque area) was completely destroyed, in addition to the destruction of our other house and the family shop. However, all our hopes disappeared. We have lost the memories and all the efforts of my family for many years.

All our memories have become ashes!

Currently, my family suffers from the risk of death that may affect them every second, the risk of famine due to the limited availability of food and its prices ten times the normal rate, and the risk of losing any member of my family due to continuous and indiscriminate bombing.

All I hope for now is for my family to get out of the circle of constant danger and fear and to complete my education, which stopped without any prospects in Gaza, so that one day I can help my family and my people and achieve my dreams.

I humbly communicate with compassionate souls around the world and appeal for their support in saving the lives of my beloved family as I seek to raise 80,000 euros to help them in living conditions and take advantage of any opportunity to evacuate them to any safe country.
