NAIG Team Michigan 2023

Aanii (Hello) My name is Melissa Petoskey, parent of Darius, and I am raising money for five tribal members in our Peshawbestown community to participate in the 2023 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG). Team Michigan includes 16 players and 4 alternates representing Michigan and their tribes.

The players from our community (pictured) are; Mjiikwis Sanchez (17) GTB High School Senior, Mazhaquet Keshick (18) GTB High School Senior, Darius Lopez (16) GTB High School Sophomore, and alternates Zachariah Raphael (14) GTB High School Freshman and Urijah TwoCrow (15) GTB High School Freshman. They will be representing our community, their tribal communities and the state of Michigan in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada July 15 - July 23rd competing in basketball with Coach Jordan Anderson who is GTB and a former NAIG Basketball Athlete 2006 and 2008.
