Nevaeh's Surgery Fundraiser

I am sending this plea on behalf of Dwight, one of our homeless, to cover the costs of Nevaeh's surgery.

You may recognize Dwight and Nevaeh, his rolly polly 13-year-old little girl as they are local fixtures around the West side. Dwight takes great care of Nevaeh (Heaven backward) and her of him. She is spayed, vaccinated, well-fed, and never alone. She goes on walks, to the dog parks, and cuddles in her very own dog bed. She is such a loving and happy girl!

Nevaeh is Dwight's entire world, knowing she is in pain, he has reached out for help. This is not something Dwight has done in the three years I have known him. Until now, whenever I ask what he needs he answers with a smile "Your friendship".

At 13 years young, Nevaeh has a couple of medical issues that need to be taken care of. She has a cracked tooth that needs to be removed and a growth on her eyelid that is causing cornea issues. She was seen by a vet that Dwight is able to get to, and they have agreed to do the surgery at a reduced rate. The cost, however, is still $1641.

Dwight would not qualify for credit care. He has also applied for assistance through local organizations. We do not know if this will be accepted, or how much they might cover if it was.
