In late May, Nadine Montano, a lively 30 year old, was involved in a tragic pool accident. She suffered from extensive injuries: a broken neck, fractured vertebrae, and loss of feeling.
The initial surgery went well; however, she has a long road to recovery. Once Nadine is able to go home, she will begin a years-long process of regular physical therapy and constant check-ins with health professionals.
Some items that Nadine will need for her smooth transition include:
-hours of rehab
-health insurance deductibles
-wheelchair
-modifications for her home including a wheelchair ramp
-plenty of love and support
Nadine always has a smile on her face, brightening up every room with her infectiously positive attitude. Before her accident, Nadine enjoyed kickboxing, hiking, swimming, and taking her two dogs on walks. As a behavioral therapist, Nadine devoted her life to servicing and educating autistic children. Additionally, Nadine spent her summers lifeguarding at the county pool.
We would like to give this money to Nadine's family before she goes home. Nadine is always someone her family and friends can count on, but now she will need all her family and friends' support.
Those who know Nadine best know that even her smallest actions are shaped by a belief that everyone deserves health and happiness. On her behalf, Nadine’s family and friends have created this fund to ask those who are able to give a much needed helping hand to a woman who exemplifies the power in love and charity.
We thank you for your donations, prayers, and support. We will continue to keep this page updated with her recovery status. ❤️
