Nadine Thompson leaves behind her two daughters, Nadine and Christie Candelaria, two granddaughters, Mia and Melody Moralez, and siblings Eddie (Kino), Josie, Marilyn and Alfred

My two childhood friends, Nadine (Little Nadine) and Christie Candelaria, unexpectedly lost their mother on August 2, 2022. Big Nadine was only 53 years old. She was full of life, always had a smile, and would brighten up the room with her presence. She was well respected and loyal.

We all grew up on Eastiside Drive in San Jose, CA where many memories were made. Papa and Grandma raised the girls, but they always loved their mom, and their Mom loved them. These last six months, the girls had the most time they have ever spent with their mom. In fact, Big Nadine and Little Nadine had moved in with each other. They both caught up on many stories, ice cream dates and dentist appointments.

Mother’s Day 2022 will be one that will live in their hearts forever. Mia, Melody, Christie, Little Nadine and Big Nadine woke up went to church, had some brunch at Black Bear Diner and ended the day in Monterey, where they all enjoyed each other.

In June 2022, Big Nadine went to her first MLB A’s game with Christie. Big Nadine was so happy when Christie bought her an A’s Pride shirt. Man, she wore it with the biggest smile. Christie loved making beach trips with her mom, especially taking Big Nadine to Christie’s favorite beach, Sunny Cove, Santa Cruz, CA. Lots of precious memories were made that they don’t take for granted.

It is hard for the girls to ask for help, so I want to help in any way possible. It would be most appreciated if you could help the girls, Little Nadine and Christie, give their Mom a Beautiful Send Off.
