Nadine Ramelb Lahaina Wildfire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Nadine Ramelb has lived on Maui for 40 years and lost her home in the devastating Lahaina wildfire that burned her beloved community to the ground. In addition to losing her home, Nadine is also coping with the loss of 11 dear friends (as of now) who have died as a result of the fire. Please consider donating what you can as Nadine and her family begin the road the recovery.
Nadine is an extraordinary local artist who has drawn on the beauty of her island home to bring her paintings to life. In giving back to the Maui community over the years, Nadine has created art education programs and donated many of her paintings to not-for-profit organizations and medical institutions. Her art can be found hanging in Maui Medical Group offices, homeless and women’s shelters, health clinics, the Maui Memorial Medical Center and other locations across the island. Nadine also donated art to Mayor Alan Arakawa’s Kokua Fund Ball, which provided assistance to those in need.
Nadine is also a dedicated practitioner of the Baha’i faith on Maui, and was a delegate to the National Convention of Baha’is in the Hawaiian islands. Growing up as a Baha'i, Nadine lives her life recognizing that we are "part of one human family”. Nadine has been quoted in the Lahaina News saying, “The Baha’i’s regard humankind as ‘fruits of one tree and the leaves of one branch.'”
Nadine's magnetic enthusiasm, kindness and generosity to others knows no bounds, and now it is our turn to help our dear friend in her time of need. There will be a long road ahead for Nadine and the Lahaina community, as they have lost loved ones and a home that will never be the same. Please contribute to help Nadine and her 'ohana start to rebuild. Mahalo nui loa.
