My name is Nadia, and I am a transgender woman preparing for a gender affirming surgery—vaginoplasty—at the Crane Center in Colorado. The surgery is scheduled for July 29, 2026. This is a journey I have been working toward since 2019, and it means the world to me to finally be so close to living as my most authentic self. The procedure is quite expensive, even after insurance, and the financial burden is more than I can manage alone.

If my procedure is approved, I will need to cover my insurance deductible and out-of-pocket maximum for 2026. Between the surgery and the hospital stay, I am certain to reach that maximum. On top of these medical costs, I will need additional support to help cover my bills during recovery and assist with travel to and from the hospital. Every dollar raised will go directly toward these essential expenses, helping me focus on healing and moving forward.

This surgery is truly life-changing for me. In today’s world, being transgender in the USA can feel scary, and I believe this step will help me feel safer and more at home in my own body.
