Nadia necesita una silla eléctrica

Mi nombre es Nadia Robleto, soy nicaragüense, mujer, madre, hija, y ciudadana comprometida con la libertad y la justicia. Como muchas y muchos compatriotas, me vi obligada a huir de Nicaragua por razones políticas, por alzar mi voz contra la dictadura de Ortega y Murillo. Pensé que en el exilio encontraría seguridad y la oportunidad de reconstruir mi vida, pero el 10 de enero de 2024 todo cambió.

Ese día fui víctima de un atentado armado en Costa Rica, una operación de persecución transnacional dirigida a opositores nicaragüenses. Una bala impactó en mi cuello y fracturó las vértebras desde la C1 hasta la C5, dejándome en un estado de invalidez severa. Desde entonces, mi movilidad es extremadamente limitada y dependo de cuidados constantes para realizar incluso las actividades más básicas del día a día.

Hoy, mi lucha sigue, pero desde una nueva trinchera: la lucha por mi independencia física y dignidad humana. Por eso he creado esta campaña para recaudar fondos y poder adquirir una silla de ruedas eléctrica, que me permita moverme con mayor libertad, salir al aire libre, participar en la vida social y mantener viva mi esperanza.

Esta no es solo una petición por una silla, es un llamado a la solidaridad. Tu apoyo significa mucho más que una donación: significa acompañarme en mi camino hacia la autonomía, la resiliencia y el derecho a seguir viviendo con dignidad.

My name is Nadia Robleto. I am Nicaraguan, a woman, mother, daughter, and citizen committed to freedom and justice. Like many of my compatriots, I was forced to flee Nicaragua for political reasons, for raising my voice against the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship. I thought that in exile I would find safety and the opportunity to rebuild my life, but on January 10, 2024, everything changed.

That day, I was the victim of an armed attack in Costa Rica, a transnational persecution operation targeting Nicaraguan opponents. A bullet struck my neck and fractured the vertebrae from C1 to C5, leaving me severely disabled. Since then, my mobility has been extremely limited, and I depend on constant care to perform even the most basic daily activities.

Today, my struggle continues, but from a new perspective: the fight for my physical independence and human dignity. That's why I created this campaign to raise funds for an electric wheelchair, which will allow me to move more freely, get outdoors, participate in social life, and keep my hope alive.

This isn't just a plea for a wheelchair; it's a call for solidarity. Your support means much more than a donation: it means accompanying me on my journey toward autonomy, resilience, and the right to continue living with dignity.
