Es ist Nacht und es gibt kein Licht. Nur eine Straßenlaterne flackert ab und zu geisterhaft auf. Da sind zwei junge Verliebte, die miteinander schlafen wollen. Und ein schwerverletzter Mann, der sich selbst verarzten muss. Auf der Suche nach mehr Licht kommen sie auf einen Parkplatz, auf dem noch eine Laterne brennt – doch das Licht enthüllt Unerwartetes.

Wir sind ein junges Filmteam aus Hamburg und Berlin aus Selbstständigen und Studenten und haben das Projekt bisher größtenteils eigens finanziert. Eine erste Starthilfe hatte es via Crowdfunding schon gegeben und nun gehen wir in die zweite Runde.

Der Kurzfilm hat mittlerweile im Schnittraum Form angenommen. Während der finalen Postproduktion entstehen uns Kosten für spezielle Software, Studios und Technik. Und schließlich wollen wir den Film dann erfolgreich zu Filmfestivals auf der ganzen Welt zu schicken. Dabei kostet jede Einreichung Geld und wir wollen so viele Kinoleinwände wie möglich beleben.

Zu guter Letzt ermöglicht ihr durch eure Unterstützung die ambitionierte Arbeit junger Künstler, unsere Arbeit, da wir als Independent-Nachwuchs bei der schwer zugänglichen deutschen Filmförderung leider vor verschlossenen Türen stehen. Ohne Firma mit professioneller Buchhaltung sind wir da leider aufgeschmissen.

Doch dieser Film will unbedingt gesehen werden.

NACHTSTÜCKE überführt die visuelle Kraft eines Stummfilms in unsere Zeit. Bilder und Töne sind die universelle Sprache, sie bilden diese Welt. Unsere großartigen Schauspieler sprechen mit ihren Körpern. Es geht um die Parallelität von Sexualität und Gewalt und um die Frage, wie viel wir voneinander eigentlich sehen wollen.

Wir freuen und bedanken uns über jede Unterstützung – im Gegenzug darf natürlich jeder Unterstützer sich über eine Erwähnung im Abspann freuen und wird den Film zu sehen bekommen, sobald es soweit ist.

It is night and there is no light. Only a street lamp flickers ghostly from time to time. There are two young lovers who want to have sex. And a badly injured man who has to patch himself up. In search of more light, they come across a parking lot where a lantern is still burning - but the light reveals the unexpected.

We are a young film team from Hamburg and Berlin made up of freelancers and students and have largely financed the project ourselves so far. We have already received initial support via crowdfunding and are now entering the second round.

The short film has now taken shape in the editing room. During final post-production, we will have to cover costs for special software, studios and technology. And finally, we want to send the film successfully to film festivals all over the world. Every submission costs money and we want to bring as many screens as possible to life.

Last but not least, with your support you make the ambitious work of young artists possible, our work, since we as up-and-coming indie fimmakers unfortunately face closed doors in the difficult-to-access German film funding system. Without a company with professional accounting, we‘re unfortunately screwed.

But this movie is definitely meant to be seen.

NIGHT PIECES transfers the visual power of a silent movie into our time. Images and sounds are the universal language, they form this world. Our great actors speak with their bodies. It's about the parallelism of sexuality and violence and the question of how much we actually want to see of each other.

We are happy and thankful about any support - in return, of course, every supporter can look forward to a mention in the credits and will get to see the film as soon as it is ready.
