UPDATE AS OF 23/06/2026:

As of today, we have secured the backing of an individual who has offered to pay for Nachos surgery IN FULL, he has already donated privately a partial amount for us to be able to secure the appointments necessary to conduct MRI and imaging for Nachos surgery to take place in 2 days time. We now it that in mind intend to use the GoFundMe proceeds raised up until this point to pay for the expensive aftercare Nacho will need for rehabilitation post surgery, to supplement the debt we have incurred in keeping Nacho alive until this point and the rest of the proceeds will be donated to the PDSA and other charities that support animals and families in positions like ours. Hi, my name is Kendall and I am appealing to anyone who happens to come across this page and asking for help.

This week, our gorgeous 5 year old French Bulldog, Nacho was diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease).

He was initially given a strong prognosis for medical management, however has since rapidly declined and we have been advised now that crate rest and pain relief with his current state of decline is no longer a sufficient method in managing his condition.

We have been advised that surgery for this horrendous disease will cost anywhere between £10-15k, which we of course do not have to spend with two children and a mortgage to pay. His insurance also does not cover it. Without the surgery, we have been advised we will need to put him to sleep, likely within the next week.

I would like to be clear that I know how hard things are for the majority of people right now financially, and the likelihood of us being able to crowd fund the amount we need is very slim. But I cannot give up on my boy without trying absolutely everything first.

He is young, he is sweetest, most gentle and loving dog I have ever known and he still has so much to give to us and our young family.

If you cannot donate any sharing or exposure for our boy and our current circumstances would be so greatly appreciated.
