Nachilindi Chanda Funeral - Zambia Calgary Loss
Hello to you:
This call for assistance has been created by Victor and Favour on behalf of Zambians in Calgary and area, in Alberta, Canada for Daniel and Wantemwa Chanda following the sudden death of Nachi Chanda, Daniel’s wife.
Nachi passed away on Saturday June 19, 2021 at the Foothills hospital in Calgary where her brother is admitted after he suffered a stroke on May 8th. Like any day since her brother’s stroke, Nachi drove herself to the Foothills to see him. Sadly, she suddenly collapsed while in her brother’s hospital room! All effort to save her life by hospital staff failed; about 45 minutes later, it became a reality that she was gone.
As many of us can appreciate, losing a family member, especially in the diaspora poses many challenges to the family, including financial costs. For this loss it is especially more challenging because Wantemwa (12 years old) requires extra special care as he is wheelchair bound and nonverbal. This is partly why we are making this call for assistance. Another reason for the need to pull resources together for this family is to contribute toward direct funeral costs - for those that have experienced a similar situation, you know that we are talking about costs in the neighbourhood of $20 000 CAD! As such, any amount you can afford to send will be sincerely appreciated - to ease this financial burden for ba Chanda and his precious son Wantemwa.
You may use this page to send your contribution.
Thank you so much.
Favour & Victor
