Nabin Taken Too Soon From Us - Please Pray For Him

This is a deeply sad and trying time as we grieve the loss of our very own Nabin Bhandari. He was a light in our lives and will be missed more than words can express.
Nabin Bhandari was the first son of Ganga and Kamala Bhandari (Former Bhutanese Refugee from Nepal). Nabin was born in Nepal and got resettled as a refugee along with his family in Phoenix, Arizona in 2011. At an incredibly young age, he was a guiding light for his family as his parents are not literate. He helped his parents with paying bills, managing finances, and guiding his siblings with schoolwork.
In the summer of 2018, Nabin’s family moved to Columbus, Ohio in search of better opportunities. When both parents worked, Nabin assisted his parents with all the household work and taking care of his siblings. In 2019, they were able to buy their dream house. He did well in school and had plans to serve in the military. He used to say, “I am going to retire my parents and give them a good life”.
Now those dreams got shattered like mirrors being hit by a huge metal block. On March 30th, 2021 everything turned upside down for the Bhandari family. Nabin was on Spring break and went fishing with his friends in the afternoon. In a blink of a moment, he was in news saying that he is no more with us.

God is very mysterious: He not only took away one life, but he took away the candle that was the only source of light to the family. I remember Nabin contacting me over zoom to get help to fill out unemployment paperwork for his dad, Ganga. Both Ganga & Kamala are without work for a few months now. Please help this family with whatever you can. We are hoping to raise enough money so that they can take care of the basic expenses of the funeral and memorial (13th-day service). All proceeds will go directly to the family. As a community, we will remain strong and be united as we support one of our families through a difficult time.
