Nabeela’s Journey to Beat Breast Cancer

Nabeela is my dear friend and coworker. She is also one of the most intelligent, kind, and strong women I know. Notably, she is currently writing a book and does research in environmental sustainability, disaster management, community architecture, and development aspects.

Fun Facts about Nabeela:

We recently found out she is fighting Stage 3 Breast Cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Her brother, mother, and father are back home in Bangladesh, while Nabeela and her husband recently moved to Canada last year. She was planning to visit her family in January 2024 for her brother’s wedding. The doctors suggested her to undergo treatment as soon as possible, so she had to cancel this trip. Instead, her family will be visiting her next year.

I can confidently say that it is rare to find a gem of a human being like Nabeela. I am starting this fundraiser so that we can support her during her fight. All of the proceeds will be given to her and her family. Additionally, I want my friend to live life without fear and worry, live to the fullest, and so she can focus her strength on recovery, and do everything that she aspires to do.
