Na de bevalling van ons 2de kindje hersentumor

14-3-21 geboorte van ons dochtertje in het boven IJ ziekenhuis.
3 dagen na de bevalling kreeg mijn vrouw (35) plotseling snachts een epileptische aanval en is toen per ambulance meegenomen naar het ziekenhuis. Na vele onderzoeken mochten wij na een paar uur weer naar huis, maar wel met de mededeling dat wij die dag gebeld zouden worden voor het maken van een ct scan, mri scan, en neurologisch onderzoek. De uitslag van de mri scan zou 2 dagen na de scan besproken worden. Echter 20 min na vertrek uit het ziekenhuis zagen wij dat wij beide 2 gemiste oproepen hadden vanuit het Boven ij. Wij moesten met spoed terug komen want ze dachten aan trombose. Met de weinig info die wij hadden gekregen kwamen wij aan bij de spoed post en mocht alleen mijn vrouw naar binnen vanwege corona, daar zat ik in de auto met mijn zoon van 3 en dochter van net 2 weken oud. Via de app kreeg ik van haar te horen dat er bloed werd afgenomen en zij weer onder de scan moest. 3 uur kwam de neuroloog naar mijn vrouw met het verzoek of zij mee naar kantoor wilde komen en haar man wilde halen. Mijn vrouw gaf aan dat ik met de kids in de auto aan het wachten was en of de kids mee mochten. Ja werd haar verteld. En toen kwam het hoge woord eruit Mevrouw u heeft een grote vaataandoening of een hersentumor.

Wij zijn toen doorverwezen naar het VUMC en het bleek helaas om een hersentumor te gaan. Na maanden in en uit ziekenhuis bezoeken hebben wij uiteindelijk te horen gekregen dat de tumor niet te opereren in vanwege de ligging tegen de hersenkern en enkel chemo en radiotherapie mogelijk is . Na een second opinion in het Erasmus helaas ook dezelfde uitkomst.
Na veel contact met lotgenoten en zelf zoeken op het web hebben wij toen als informatie gekregen dat er in Hannover (Duitsland) een kliniek zit genaamd INI klinik Hannover daar hebben wij nu contact mee gehad en de MRI beelden naar opgestuurd.
PROF DR DR MADJID SAMII denkt het wel te kunnen opereren in zijn clinic en dat geeft ons hoop.
vervolgens hebben we nu een afspraak voor een functioneel MRI scan op 28-10-21.
Na deze scan zouden zij de operatie kunnen plannen. Maar daar hangt helaas een groot prijskaartje aan
Deze operatie word niet vergoed door onze zorgverzekeraar in nederland.
Vandaar dat ik het nu op go fund me neer zet voor mijn vrouw en 2 kleine kinderen omdat wij haar nog lang bij ons nodig hebben.

After the birth of our 2nd child a brain tumor was discovered.
On 14-3-21 it was the birth of our daughter in the Boven IJ hospital. 3 days after the delivery, my wife (35) suddenly had an epileptic seizure at night and was then taken to the hospital by ambulance. After many examinations, we were allowed to go home after a few hours, but with the announcement that we would be called that day for a CT scan, MRI scan, and neurological examination. The results of the MRI scan would be discussed 2 days after the scan. However, 20 minutes after leaving the hospital we saw that we both had 2 missed calls from the Boven ij hospital. We had to come back urgently because they thought of thrombosis. With the little information we had received, we arrived at the emergency post and only my wife was allowed in because of Corona. There I was in the car with my son of 3 and daughter of just 2 weeks old. Through the APP (WhatsApp) I was told by her that blood was being drawn and she had to undergo the scan again. At 3 o'clock the neurologist came to my wife and asked if she could come to the surgeons office, with her husband. My wife indicated that I was waiting in the car with the kids and whether the kids could come along. Yes, she was told.
Then the word came out, "Madam, you have a major vascular disease or a brain tumor."
We were then referred to the VUMC and unfortunately it turned out to be a brain tumor. After months in and out of hospital visits, we were eventually told that the tumor cannot be operated on because of its location against the brain core and only chemotherapy and radiotherapy are possible. Unfortunately, after a second opinion in Erasmus, the same outcome was also achieved. After a lot of contact with fellow sufferers (people with cancer) and searching the web ourselves, we received information that there is a clinic in Hannover (Germany) called INI klinik Hannover, which we have now contacted and sent the MRI images to.
PROF DR DR MADJID SAMII thinks he can operate in his clinic and that gives us hope. We now have an appointment for a functional MRI scan on 28-10-21. After this scan, they would be able to plan the operation. But unfortunately that comes with a big price tag This operation is not reimbursed by our health insurer in the Netherlands. That is why I now put it on 'go fund' for my wife and 2 small children because we need her with us for a long time.
