Help My Family Rebuild After a Devastating Fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Chris, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my mother, Mary Lynn, stepfather, Ed, and our family who recently lost everything in a tragic house fire.
On June 26th, 2025, a three-alarm fire destroyed my parents’ home in York, PA, taking with it not only all of their belongings but also the things that made that house a home — photos, clothes, medical equipment, and memories built over decades. Even more heartbreaking, we lost our beloved dog Minnie and our sweet cat Mia to smoke inhalation.
My mother, Mary Lynn, battles Crohn’s disease and relies on special medical equipment that was completely lost in the fire. My stepdad, Ed, is a liver and kidney transplant survivor and still struggles daily with his health. The two of them have faced so many challenges in life — but this loss has left them with almost nothing.
My uncle Bud, who is mentally challenged, also lived in the home and is now displaced. My sister Brandi and her children, Lijahlynn and Mark, have lost every item they owned — from clothes to toys to school supplies. To make matters worse, one of the family’s cars was completely destroyed in the fire, making recovery even harder.
We are so grateful that everyone made it out alive, but starting over from scratch, especially with ongoing medical needs and limited resources, is overwhelming.
If you’re able to give, please know that every single dollar will go toward helping my family get back on their feet — covering the essentials like housing, clothing, transportation, and replacing necessary medical supplies. If you’re not able to give, sharing this page with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We’re holding onto hope, and any support you offer helps keep that hope alive.
With gratitude,
Chris Minnich
