Help Us Support the Family of Rushabh Patel – A True Hero Gone Too Soon

It is with profound sadness that I am sharing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear brother, Rushabh Upendrabhai Patel, and his family.

Rushabh was just 28 years old, living in Milton Keynes with his beloved wife, Mili Patel, and their beautiful 18-month-old daughter, Vrumi. Originally from 'Pundhra' near Ahmedabad, India, Rushabh had come to the UK to build a better future for his young family. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, a caring son, and a loyal friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew him.

On 26 May 2026 Sunday, Rushabh and his family were enjoying a picnic near Newport Pagnell in Milton Keynes when tragedy struck. Two people from their group got into difficulty while swimming and began to drown.

Without any hesitation, Rushabh jumped into the water to save them.

Thinking only of others and not of himself, he bravely fought to rescue both individuals. Thanks to his courage and selfless actions, their lives were saved.

But in the process of saving them, Rushabh suffered a cardiac arrest and drowned.

He was airlifted to Milton Keynes University Hospital, where doctors worked tirelessly for days to save him. His family held onto hope, praying for a miracle. Tragically, despite every effort, Rushabh passed away on 28 May 2026.

Rushabh Patel may have left this world, but his kindness lives on forever. Through organ donation, he gave five to six people a new chance at life. Though he is gone, his legacy continues in the hearts and lives of those he saved. A true hero never dies—he lives on through the lives he touched. Rest in peace, Rushabh.

No words can describe the heartbreak his family is experiencing.

A young wife has lost the love of her life.

A little girl, only 18 months old, has lost the father who will never get the chance to watch her grow up, hold her hand on her first day of school, celebrate her achievements, or walk her down the aisle one day.

His parents have lost their beloved son.

His family has lost the person who worked tirelessly to provide for them and dreamed of giving his daughter the brightest possible future.

Rushabh's final act on this earth was one of extraordinary courage and sacrifice. He gave his life while saving others. He was a hero in every sense of the word.

Today, we are asking for your support to help ease the immense financial burden facing Mili and little Vrumi. The funds raised will help cover funeral expenses, immediate family needs, and provide financial security for Vrumi's future as she grows up without her father.
