Hi everyone,

My name is Leslie, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. The most important person in my life my mom, who is 62 years old, has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

My mother, Marina who's in the Philippines right now, is a hardworking farmer who has spent her entire life caring for others and now it’s my turn to help and care for her. She has spent her entire life working hard under the sun, making sure there was food on the table not only for me and my sister, but for others too. She’s the strongest woman I know, and she’s always put everyone else first. Now, she’s in the biggest fight of her life.

Earlier this year, my mom started feeling unwell. At first, we thought it was something minor just fatigue from working long hours under the sun. But as the symptoms got worse, she began a series of checkups, medications, and tests. After months of uncertainty, we finally received the diagnosis: stage 3 breast cancer.

She’s undergoing chemotherapy, and surgery will follow. The treatments are taking a toll on her body, but she’s fighting with everything she has. She's strong, but cancer is a battle no one should have to face alone.

Watching her go through this has been incredibly painful. I am her only source of financial support. I work two jobs to help cover her medical bills, but with the cost of chemo, upcoming surgery, medications, hospital visits, and daily needs it’s simply more than I can manage on my own.

What breaks my heart the most is knowing that I haven’t even had the chance to give back to my mom. She’s sacrificed so much for me, and I’ve always dreamed of giving her a more comfortable life, a break from all the years of labor and struggle. That dream hasn’t come true yet, and I’m scared that time might run out before I can.

That's why I’m humbly asking for help.
