Help Jeff Cain Get Back on His Feet

As a neighbor, newspaper customer and friend of Jeff Cain, I was shocked to hear of his major traffic accident and hospitalization at Regional One Health, as they call The Med now. He broke 12 ribs, hurt his neck and banged up his leg. He has other injuries, too, that will keep him confined for months to come.

Jeff has been delivering newspapers in Midtown almost his whole life and even non-customers know him by his kind attention and words. When someone hears I live in Midtown, they'll ask: "Do you know Jeff?"

Jeff really needs our help. In the hospital, he can't work and he has few family members to take care of his needs. Someone is helping with his dog and others have pitched in as they can, but we can do more.

One specific need Jeff will have is a hearing aid. His was lost in the aftermath of the accident.

Midtown neighbors have always kept Jeff in their hearts. I've attached a picture of Jeff taken with Shirley Lupfer when friends got Jeff a new truck.
