Hi Everyone,

I’m writing to ask for support for one of our long-time employees and a deeply respected and valued member of our work family. She is a devoted mother of three who is facing an unimaginable loss: her children’s father took his life by suicide, the morning after her 31st Birthday.

In the months leading up to this, Elizabeth took a courageous step to regain stability and safety for herself by separating from him and taking control of her life. Tragically, this happened in their home, and the children witnessed it.

Right now, she is focused on protecting her children, getting them into counseling, and creating a stable living situation. The days ahead will involve grief, trauma recovery, and major practical needs all at once.

We are raising funds to help cover:

• Lost wages and time away from work

• Emergency living expenses and relocation to a new and safe home environment

• Funeral and related expenses

• Family and individual therapy for the children and mom

• Basic necessities during this transition including groceries, gas and transportation for her and her 16-year-old daughter, as well as childcare and school needs for the younger children.
