Moms Go Fund Me

I know what you’re thinking, “Another gofundme”. For those that know my mom, she’s had 6 rough months. On February 22, 2023, after celebrating Mardi Gras, a nightmare happened as my mother suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. While in ICU and on the ventilator for a couple of weeks, she developed a brain clot that was removed by performing craniotomy surgery. After experiencing this setback and no movement in her left limbs, she was moved to a room and was receiving nutrients by a feeding tube. During the first week of April, my mom was transported to the rehabilitation hospital for one month and progressed off the feeding tube. On May 3, 2023, my mom was sent home and is currently being transported to rehab twice a week to help regain her stability and movement in her left limbs. Due to her inabilities, I am working part-time as her caregiver along with her retired husband as she needs care around the clock.

My mom was employed at a living assistance facility during this time and loved her job and the people she cared for. She was very passionate about working as CNA. She has an optimistic attitude; however, she worries about her long-term assistance and incurred charges that will not be covered by insurance. This is where you’ll come in. Every single dime of your donation will be allocated to one of her needs (medical expenses, medical equipment). We appreciate anything you can give. This is not someone just asking for a handout.
