During this season of giving, we are humbling ourselves to ask for some help for our Mom. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer of 2017. She underwent a mastectomy in November of 2017 to remove the tumor and was considered cancer free. In the summer of 2018, she was diagnosed with cancer in her lymph nodes. The doctors told her that she has a very aggressive form of cancer, which is why it came back so quickly. Unfortunately, this time, they also highly recommend chemo and radiation, which she chose not to do last time.
She only has Medicare, which only covers a fraction of her medical bills. One chemo treatment alone will cost her $4,500, plus she also has a $7,000 balance from her surgery last year. They told her she needs at least 6 treatments, radiation, and yet another surgery. Needless to say, she is very anxious about her financial situation. We want her to focus solely on fighting and healing, not worrying about how she'll pay for everything.
Our mom is the first to help someone in need. She taught us to do the same and instilled in us the desire to help others any way we can. Now, we kindly ask for your help. Any little bit can help ease her mind and help her in this battle. She has a strong, warrior spirit and wants to give this her all. She is very close to becoming a grandmother for the first time and she has so much to look forward to.
