Hi, my name is Josh and i am fund raising for my Camps International Expedition to Cambodia in July 2025 with my school.
During this eye-opening expedition we will work closely with rural Cambodian communities to support community development. This includes could involve building wells to provide drinking water and water for irrigation, building toilets to provide better sanitation for the community, working on school improvement projects to create better learning environments and building chicken coops for food security. Wildlife conservation and environmental conservation by taking part in reforestation work. During the expedition I will be able to learn about Cambodia’s rich culture and turbulent history at the world famous Angkor Wat temples, S21 Prison and Killing Fields.
The expedition includes a personal challenge where i will take on an adventurous trek through the jungle, giving me the chance to test the limits of my comfort zone in a spectacular environment.
I am really looking forward to getting involved with projects that will make a difference to the local community and learning about a whole different culture.
This will be a massive challenge for me as i will be a long way from home for 4 weeks. I also have ASD, Dyspraxia and learning difficulties which can effect my day to day life, however over the last 2 years my confidence has really grown and i feel ready to take on this amazing opportunity. I can't wait for next July.
I have a long way to go with my fundraising but I’m hoping it may all start with this link!
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
Josh
