Giving back to Africa

Dear friends, family, and everyone interested in our project!
We are the Aniceto Family in Curaçao who want to support the educational projects of the CMM Brothers in Kenya. The Brothers are responsible for setting up/upgrading several schools and they have projects in the field of healthcare, agricultural development and religious education. What is their link with Curaçao? The Brothers of Tilburg (their popular name) were active in Curaçao in the educational field for 109 years. Many of us went to schools where the Brothers were excellent teachers. When the last group of Brothers left Curaçao to emigrate to the Netherlands in 1995, they entrusted the remaining properties to the St. Thomas College Foundation for the benefit of the disadvantaged youth and the community. Presently, the Brothers are struggling to help disadvantaged youth in Kenya, Namibia and Tanzania. Why do we want to support the schools in Kenya specifically? Because we know them! Mr. Elfried Aniceto, a retired teacher from Curaçao, and chairman of the St. Thomas College Foundation, visited several schools in Kenya and initiated the 'Giving back to Africa' project. Together with the Brothers of Tilburg the needs were documented. Two years ago, Mr. Aniceto jumpstarted the support by raising funds to drill a borehole and install pipelines to supply the school and the surrounding villages with water. The school now has water on site. Before this, the school and the community depended on rainwater, extremely problematic in the dry season! We hope that this Gofundme Campaign will reach all our friends and their friends and that they will donate to this cause! The proceeds of this campaign will be used 100% for improving the learning and logistic facilities at several schools in Kenya. The projects are carried out and supervised by the CMM Brothers (www.cmmbrothers.org), and all donations via Gofundme will be transfered via us to their account. We will document and publish this formally (also on this page).
We thank you all warmheartedly for your donation!
