N95 for NYC Docs!

Healthcare workers are in desperate need of supplies! Hospitals all over the country are running out of N95 and surgical masks. Doctor and nurses are putting their lives at risk to keep treating infected patients without the proper gear. We are scrambling to get masks and supplies in any way possible and we are shelling out thousands of our own dollars (of which we have limited amounts as residents) to procure equipment and we are asking for your help in this time. Please donate here if you can, and please please if you have masks you are not using, donate them to a hospital nearby. We are all in this together.
Update: I wanted to thank everyone for the overwhelming response. I can not believe how much money we raised and in such a short amount of time. I want to thank each and every one of you, and more importantly, my co-workers want to thank each and every one of you. I want to guarantee you that the money is being used wisely. I have set up a team of my co-workers who is working diligently on finding sources to buy from, vetting the sources, and also ensuring we are buying quality masks. We have been able to put in several shipments for N95 masks, mostly from oversea sources. As with anything during this time, nothing is guaranteed but I will keep you all updated on the progress.
Many people including other nurses and other residents have been inspired by this campaign and are trying to figure out where to source material as well. As we find more solid connections, we are happy to share these. If we continue to raise more money than we need, we will continue to ensure that our fellow doctors in NY programs are protected as well. Remember, we are all in this together. <3
