Rob's memorial fund

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Lei Freels and Rob timson is my brother. I am setting up this go fund me to help with his medical expenses, bills and for his children.  100% of all donations goes to rob and his family. Thank you for your time and for reading his story.

Rob's story was written by his wife, Daad Abdouche Timson.

Rob was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2001. He had surgery to remove the cancer and had chemotherapy and radiation and did great! In 2007, they had seen some nodules on the lungs, but couldn't confirm it was cancer at the time. They thought it was a fungal infection of the lungs and treated him for that. Rob and I got married in May 2009. Two weeks after our wedding Rob got sick. On June 8th, after a round of antibiotics didn't work, what they thought was a respiratory infection, turned out to be Acute Myelogenus Leukemia (AML). Rob's prognosis wasn't good. He was given 3-6 months to live. After enduring three rounds of extensive chemotherapy, he went into remission. He was stable enough to move to PA, where we decided to live since I worked there. He started maintenance chemo in PA, but under the direction of doctors at Northside Hospital. He was doing well. We had our son in October 2010. He continued maintenance chemo. In 2012, he was stable enough with the Leukemia that the doctors decided to perform a lung biopsy to see what the nodules were. On March 18, 2012, the biopsy of the lungs confirmed that some of the nodules were malignant. The next day we found out we were pregnant again. They started with chemotherapy for the lungs. We moved back to Atlanta February 22, 2013. Rob continued chemotherapy at Northside Hospital until October 2014, when his doctors decided to look for alternative treatments. He collapsed on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and I was told a Cat Scan of the brain showed the cancer had metastasized to his entire brain. There was swelling and bleeding of the brain. Per the doctors, there isn't any treatment available for him. There are so many lesions and if they tried any treatment, he still would never recover. They sent him home on hospice and are just keeping him comfortable until he is ready to pass on. Round the clock nursing care has stopped as they say he isn't in any distress. He is wonderful husband, an amazing father to our children ages 2 and 4, a great friend, brother, uncle, cousin; he is an all around wonderful man who has fought so hard against this horrible disease. He is such an inspiration to so many people. He always had a smile and a positive attitude.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will help with bills, medical expenses and his children.

Thank you!
