My name is Liam I'm a 25 year old Transgender Male.
I am very lucky to say that since I came out back in April 2019 I have been given nothing but love and support from friends and family. I have been on Testosterone for 1 year and 3 months and for the most part I have been happy with my progress.
Even at a young age puberty was difficult for me, I have always felt dysphoric about my chest, wanting to bandage it up like Mulan did and forget they exist. The moment I learned about binders was like striking gold but in order for me to be truly happy with my body I need to finally take the plunge and get this surgery. I want to be able to wake up happy without feeling the need to ignore looking down and hiding behind an incredibly tight piece of clothing.

I am in the process of getting my Letters of Recommendation from my Therapist so I can appropriately set a date to have reconstructive chest surgery. My surgeon will be Dr. Josef Hadeed which should be scheduled roughly from 3-6 months from now. Hopefully the earliest.
The estimated goal I was given for the surgery is $10k.
The specific surgery I'll be undergoing is a Double Incision.
Any money exceeding would go to supplies needed for my recovery process.
As someone with no insurance I have been attempting to save up money to pay for the entire surgery out of pocket. At this point in time I have managed to raise half on my own but it took an extremely long time to get here.
