Hi there!
thanks for taking the time to check out this page.
Ill try to keep this short and to the point.
this feburary 2015 my father pictured in the above photo had a pretty life changing accident. He fell and lost use of most of his body. He is still in the hospital (improving slowly every day) but determined to come home. The issue is, our house is old, and far from handicap accessable. Not to mention a few minor issues that need to be addressed, before the issue of accessability can even begin to change.
Our house needs a new bathroom, on the lower level of the house. We only have a half bathroom down there, and my plan is to tile the entire room, and put a drain in the floor. Allowing the entire room to be used as a shower room. With a waterproof cabenit above the toilet to hold toiletries.
For this to happen we need to fix the piping issue which leads us to the kitchen. To fix the piping issue we need to tear out our entire kitchen cealing and replace it.
these alone will cost about $3500 plus extra to change the floor laminant- assuming its iminant destruction with the demolition of the cealing.
$2000 for the basic maintnance of the lower level office transition into a bedroom. Which needs snap hard woods or laminant. paint. and a door. as well as window treatments.
$1500 to fix the upstairs bathroom which causes leaks into the (hopeful) new bedroom.
$500 for removal of demolition and a little wiggle room if my price estimates are totally off.
I love my dad. He has done many great things. Organizing and hosting the Justin Vanderwall memorial tournament, all proceeds going to the Finger Lakes Youth Wresteling League.
Owning his own contracting business for many years, and making many life long friends along the way.
Opening his home, wallet, and heart to whoever needed it. Even if they burnt him, he always was willing to try to help.
If he knew about me making this he would be so upset. He would never want us to be the ones asking for money.
This is his daughter, trying to pleasantly surprise him when he finally comes home. So he has no worries, no stresses. So he can concentrate on his recovery.
Any donation will get you a personally taylored goodie bag from yours truly full of surprises.
