"Our sweet baby went to be with Jesus [on April 1st]. Though this is the most difficult news to share, we know that there are many who have prayed for and supported Nathan during his battle with cancer.
We will forever be grateful for our team at CHKD, for all the doctors, nurses, and child life specialists who helped our family through his initial treatment so that we were able to spend an additional 7 years with him. We also are thankful for the support of Nathan’s care team at Levine and our hospice team.
To our friends, family, and Nathan supporters, thank you for helping us celebrate his life and cheer him on for every accomplishment. Nathan always had the brightest smile to light up even the darkest days. He touched so many lives with his cheerful personality and warm-hearted disposition. It is hard to imagine our family life without him. We are heartbroken to have to say goodbye and are trying to find solace in the knowledge that after such a journey he is no longer suffering.
