This is a collection for our dear friend and colleague, Luz Gastelum.

As most of you know, Luz was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2018. She underwent succesful surgery, followed by chemotherapy in 2019. Thanks for all your previous donations.

Unfortunately, a recent CT scan showed recurrence of the cancer. The good thing is that the cancer appears localized to the same area. Luz will need to undergo another round of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, her copay for each treatment is over $800. Thus, this present round of donations is to help with this payment.  She is presently scheduled to undergo weekly chemotherapy treatment through April, 2021.

 En el año 2018 Luz Elena Gastélum fue diagnosticado con Adenocarcinoma Cáncer pancreático, una enfermedad letal. Ella se sometió a los tratamientos y en mayo 2019 obtuvo su último tratamiento de quimioterapia. Cada tres meses daba seguimiento a sus citas. Últimamente no se ha sintiendo bien y estaba teniendo dolor abdominal. Después de una tomografía computarizada del abdomen y una tomografía por emisión de positrones fue confirmado la reaparición del cáncer pancreático. Los tratamientos de quimioterapia empezarán lo más pronto posible. Ella también tiene lupus, una enfermedad del sistema inmune. Ella es madre soltera de un precioso hijo de 12 años y necesitará ayuda económica para cubrir los tratamientos y medicamentos. Sé que estos son tiempos duros para cada uno y cualquier cantidad ayudara. Dios los bendiga y muchas gracias por sus maravillosas contribuciones.
