Lily Rose Havener was born at 12:26pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. She weighed 1lb 10oz at birth, and weighs a little less than that now. Although stable, Lily’s condition is incredibly fragile and changes moment to moment – she gets her food through a tube, her breathing is machine supported, she can’t be picked up or held, and can only be touched through a hole in her incubator in a very limited capacity, at certain times of the day.  Although everyone seems optimistic  Lily’s survival is not guaranteed. She has lost weight since birth and has a long, uphill battle ahead of her, with so many obstacles to overcome. If she does persevere she’ll be living in the NICU for at least the next 2 months
