Miriam Hernandez

It is with a saddened heart that this GoFundMe is being created. My mother, Miriam Hernandez, will soon join her loved ones and be with our Creator.

Over the last two years, my mother's health began declining rapidly. It has not been easy, but I have done my best in being there for her throughout this journey.

Unfortunately, my mother's heath took a major turn for the worst this past month. Ultimately, she does not want to be resuscitated and we will honor her wishes. She has not departed us just yet, but she will be within the next week most likely.

With the passing of our loved ones, comes the stress of the financial aspects in making the final proper memorial arrangements. Any donation is appreciated and will all be allocated towards my mother's funeral.

My mother was a kind and funny person. She marched to the own beat of her drum, which sometimes was not always the best, but we loved her nonetheless. She loved her children and loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed diet cokes and watching her favorite TV shows.

She loved being a patient assistant when she was still working, and worked 12 years for Parkland Hospital.

I will miss her, but I am thankful for the time I've had with her these last few years even if they were not all great times.

My mother departed this world on 1/21/2024 at 12:28PM. She was not alone in her final moments. She was surrounded by two of her children, her eldest granddaughter, son in law, and two of her sisters. I had the blessing of being right at my mom’s side and held her hand the entire time. Most people never have that moment, but I did.

Her suffering is finally over and she is with our creator. Fly High Mom.
