Juliet Needs Our Help

On May 14th approximately 1:30 pm our lives were shattered and will be forever changed. While enjoying a beautiful spring day in the pool with her older sister, our sweet Juliet somehow lost her footing and was found approximately 3.5 minutes later face down in the Jacuzzi. Her 2-year-old frame was lifeless as her Grandmother pulled her from the water, called 911, and immediately started life-saving CPR.  Metro showed up approximately 3 minutes into the call and took over CPR for an additional 12 minutes until paramedics showed up and again the critical care was passed along to a highly trained team that was able to restart her heart after 2 attempts, along with intubating her. She was transported to a top-notch Hospital that began near-drowning protocol treatments upon arrival. She has been placed into a medically induced coma combined with a Cryo type treatment to bring the swelling in her precious brain down and let her body begin to heal itself. We are asking for any prayers and positive thoughts you can send her way. She is one of the most stubborn and tenacious 2-year-olds I have ever met and know that she is fighting with every ounce of energy she has. Unfortunately like we’ve all experienced, there is a large shortfall in the insurance for her current treatment plan and care. With an even larger deficit for therapy and aftercare, once she overcomes this hurdle. I have spoken with  Juliets caretakers and they are searching for both answers and solutions to their current situation. As her Great Uncle, I thought I would start a GoFundMe account to offer some relief and help in this unpredictable and scary time. The family and I have been overwhelmed with calls, texts, and messages asking how people can help.  Let’s come together and rally to help the family have one less thing to worry about.
