Hey there, my mother's name is Faye Toma. She's originally from Garland, Utah. Now we reside in Gardena, Ca.

She's a super modest, humble, strong & positively motivating woman. For example, she'll probably never tell you unless you ask her but, she played semi-pro softball in a "League of their Own" type of travel league in the early 50's.

In fact when I played little league, she would catch for me as I practiced my pitching.

She was awesome, showed up for every baseball, basketball, football game for me & my two brothers.

She was always there for us...

& the one thing she always used to tell us that I remember most is "Treat people how you want to be treated."

Always made us Chicken Soup whenever we were sick too & boy could she cook! Not your typical Japanese stuff either, alot of meat & potatoes since she grew up on a farm in Utah.

Fast forward, time has passed, & she had a fall 3months ago at home.

Suffered a hematoma (brain bleed) & fractured her back in 3places. Pretty rough at her age. She went to the hospital, & then admitted to a Skilled Nursing Facility, where she's at now.

She does have insurance, & was supposed to cover a 3+month stay but something in administration got flipped up, so we're now facing a substantial bill that was not expected.

She's returning home soon, which is awesome that she's regained the ability to walk.

So, that's why I'm reaching out...

Sigh... if you know me or her, this is not common for us to do this. In fact she doesn't know I'm doing this.
