Face Forward is a feature length documentary film that examines the ongoing problem of extreme domestic violence against women. We are chronicling the progress of six victims as they share their back stories and the unconscionable abuse that they have suffered. One of our subjects has injuries sustained from an acid attack to the face. Another was beaten with a hammer and set on fire and yet another survived a shotgun blast to the face. Unfortunately there are too many heinous examples to list here.

     We continue with the women on their journey with the Face Forward Foundation and in the operating room as renowned plastic surgeon Dr. David Alessi works to literally rebuild their faces and repair the damage that they have endured. We have scheduled interviews with Psychologists to discuss the early warning signs of domestic abuse before it rises to such an extreme level. The conversation will focus on the stages of mental and emotional healing that are necessary for these extraordinary women to regain their independence and sense of self worth. 

     Interwoven with their individual stories is the broader narrative that addresses what is being done on Local, State, Federal and even International levels to address the root causes of domestic violence. We will travel to New York to document the UN Women for Peace March and additional travel will be necessary to Washington DC and Chicago to complete the narrative.

     The goal is to tell these Women’s stories and start the conversation to help end this type of horrendous abuse. Please help us in our mission.
